为了解产业新技术的应用，2023年7月28日，广西电影集团执行董事、总经理张睿带队赴广州市增城1978电影小镇考察调研，深入研讨电影《开往边境的列车》创作。
在广州传奇影业公司董事长黄英毅、传奇梦工厂执行总裁符海引导下，调研组参观了1978电影小镇，了解到电影小镇在产业园区的规划布局、运营模式等情况。该项目通过对旧厂房和旧仓库、旧村落的重新设计改造，在保留上世纪70年代工业建筑主色调的基础上，形成了一个集电影创作、投资、传播、培训、旅游等为一体的电影特色小镇，成为广州市增城区大型综合性文创、旅游产业聚集区。
研讨会上，黄英毅介绍了电影《开往边境的列车》策划创作情况，电影将采用XR虚拟拍摄技术摄制，广西场景采集，广东影棚摄制，两广电影人携手将为观众呈现一个发生在列车上，充满想象力和创意的“艺术+技术”的视听创新精品。导演方锦历、美术指导菲利普等主创阐述了电影的创作理念和在创作过程如何采用新技术、新手法，让电影创作生产更高效更好看。
张睿表示，电影离不开科技的助力和推动，电影《开往边境的列车》故事主题好，创意结构亮点多，建议更注重细节打磨，让其结构更合理，故事情节既扣人心弦，又符合逻辑，避免走弯路。双方就该电影在创作方向、题材和类型选择等方面进行深入探讨交流，提出一些建设性意见建议。

Promoting Integration and Seeking Development – Leadership Team of Guangxi Film Group Visits Guangzhou 1978 Film Town for Investigation and Research
To understand the application of new industry technologies, on July 28, 2023, Zhang Rui, Executive Director and General Manager of Guangxi Film Group, led a team to visit and conduct research in the 1978 Film Town in Zengcheng, Guangzhou. The visit aimed to delve into the creation of the film "Guangxi Express."
Under the guidance of Richard Wong, Chairman of 24 Dreams Per Second Co., Ltd., and Fu Hai, Executive President of 24 Drames Per Second, the research team toured the 1978 Film Town, gaining insights into the planning, layout, and operational model of the industrial park within the town. Through the redesign and transformation of old factories, warehouses, and villages, the project retained the main color tones of industrial buildings from the 1970s. It has evolved into a film-themed town integrating film creation, investment, communication, training, and tourism. It has become a large-scale comprehensive cultural and creative, tourism-industry hub in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou.
During the symposium, Richard Wong introduced the planning and creation of the film "Guangxi Express." The film will utilize XR virtual shooting technology with scenes captured in Guangxi and studio filming in Guangdong. Filmmakers from both Guangxi and Guangdong will collaborate to present an audio-visual innovation combining "art + technology" on a train, full of imagination and creativity. Director Fong (Png Kia Lek), art director Philip, and other key creative members explained the film's conceptualization and how new technologies and techniques are employed to enhance the efficiency and visual appeal of film production.
Zhang Rui expressed that technology is indispensable for the advancement of the film industry. He praised the promising theme and rich creative highlights of "Guangxi Express" but suggested a greater focus on refining details to ensure a more rational structure of the story. The narrative should be both gripping and logically coherent to avoid unnecessary detours. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding the film's creative direction, theme, and genre selection, providing constructive suggestions and recommendations.
Accompanying the research and investigation were Tao Zhongmin, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Film Group, Tang Lugan, Senior Assistant and Chief Legal Counsel, and leaders from Guangxi Film Group's Love Film Industry.
